Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Markey

I am a graduate of Millersville University. I have a Bachelor's degree in both elementary and early childhood education. I have also earned my Master's degree in elementary education.

I believe in active learning and have my students involved in hands on learning opportunities as much as possible. I also integrate the use of technology in my everyday lessons.

Mrs. Tsoukalos-Burtner

I am a graduate of York College and this will be my eleventh year of teaching.  I believe that children have the ability to achieve anything that they want and I feel that it is my role as a teacher to help them do so. I love to incorporate a lot of hands-on learning in the classroom in order to make the learning experience more meaningful for the students. Using different modes of teaching is also something that I feel is important in the classroom in order to reach the different types of learners. I have taken a lot of workshops and courses over the past summers and am anxious to bring new ideas into the classroom.
